Hi, I’m Tamsin 👋

Scribe & Sign started almost by accident.

I’ve always loved books, but I’ve also always hated seeing perfectly good ones go to waste. What began with me putting together bundles of preloved books quickly turned into something much bigger — and somewhere along the way, Scribe & Sign became my full-time world.

Today, we’re far more than the little book-bundling business I started with. We have a wonderful community of readers, work with independent authors, hunt down beautiful special editions, run our own book subscriptions and somehow I also decided organising a book festival was a sensible idea.

That became ScribeFest — our Northampton book festival bringing authors and readers together — and then came Travelling Tales, our mobile bookshop, because apparently having a normal amount of projects isn’t really my thing.

But the bit I love most hasn’t changed. I still get ridiculously excited when I find a brilliant book, discover a new author or manage to track down an edition I know one of our customers is going to love.

Scribe & Sign has grown enormously, but it’s still an independent business run by real people who genuinely love books — and I hope it always feels that way.
