📖 The story

Layanna Fairling has never quite belonged. But when a tyrant threatens the village she calls home, protecting the people she loves will uncover a truth about herself that changes everything.

Layanna is a changeling — and the lost heir to the Seelie Court.

Her true parents were murdered, their throne stolen, and an Unseelie ruler now controls the kingdom that should have been hers.

To save Althea, Layanna must discover who she really is, master powers she never knew she possessed and face tyrant kings, dragons, dangerous magic and a man who makes the battle between hatred and desire considerably more complicated.

Book Two – The Dragonscale Throne

Layanna's fight for her birthright continues as her journey takes her deeper into a dangerous world of rival rulers, magic and dragons. With her enemies closing in and her destiny becoming impossible to escape, reclaiming Althea is far from straightforward.

Book Three – Empire of Embers

Armed with new shapeshifting abilities and dragons at her side, Layanna must finally make her way back to Althea. King Jordeek and the deadly shroud have been allowed to tighten their grip on the kingdom — and the lost queen must return to challenge him and claim what is rightfully hers. Empire of Embers is identified by the author/publisher description as the final book in the original Althea trilogy.
