Dead Men Don't Check In

The guests aren’t due until tomorrow.

The beds are made.

The cutlery is polished.

The hedges are trimmed.

But someone is already dead...

On the day before its grand reopening, Hart’s Holiday Resort is spotless, silent, and shut to the public. Housekeeping supervisor Leonie Robinson expects nothing more than a shift of getting cabins ready before the first wave of summer guests arrive.

Instead, she finds a man lying on the cabin floor with his throat slit, blood soaking into freshly laid carpet. No one knows who he is. No one knows how he got in. And the murder weapon is nowhere to be found.

With only a skeleton staff on site and the grand opening less than twenty-four hours away, panic sets in. The resort’s owner is desperate to keep the death out of the press. The police struggle to work out how it happened. And Leonie can’t shake the feeling that the murderer is still on site with them, hiding in plain sight.

Trapped inside a holiday park that was never meant to have guests yet, Leonie must uncover the truth before the killer strikes again.

Because at Hart’s Holiday Resort, someone has already checked out for good…
